Perry and Alba Hardin
Perry, the son of Eddie and Rana Hardin, grew up in Savannah, TN where his father serves as an elder. Perry graduated from Freed-Hardeman University in 2003 with a B.S. in Wildlife Science and remained at FHU to receive a Masters of Education degree in 2004. In August 2005, Perry moved to Asunción to teach at an American high school. After working there for one year, he decided to stay in Paraguay and work with the Paraguay Mission Team. In September 2009, Perry married Alba Patiño from Asunción. She was born and raised in Asunción and worked for Berlitz language center as a language teacher. In July of 2014, their daughter, Abigail, was born.
In 2013, Perry transitioned from from general mission team duties to serving as Co-Director of the Asuncion Bible Academy. Their sponsoring congregation is the Savannah church of Christ in Savannah, Tennessee.
Troy and Andrea were married on October 7, 1995.
Troy is a native Texan, born in Ft. Worth, to Dwayne and A’Gatha Spradlin. His father is a Gospel preacher in North Texas. Troy attended Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX, as a commercial art major. After college, he began a career as a professional, touring musician. In 2000, he transitioned to work as a Project Manager for a commercial audio engineering firm in West Palm Beach, Florida. He began preaching in 2004 and by 2006 decided to become a full-time preacher. Troy graduated in 2009 from Southwest School of Bible Studies in Austin, Texas and is now working on a Master’s Degree in Missions with Bear Valley Bible Institute of Denver. Troy is currently serving as Director of the Asuncion Bible Academy.
Andrea was born in West Palm Beach, Florida to George and Joyce Parker. She went to Palm Beach Community College and then the University of Florida where she received two degrees: B.A. in Business Administration and B.S. in Recreation Parks and Tourism specializing in Event Management and Tourism Development. Since graduating, she has worked for the Boys and Girl’s Clubs in Florida, and also for the American Lung Association in both Florida and Texas. Andrea recently worked at World Video Bible School in Texas. She also received a Certificate of Completion for the Women’s Study Program at Southwest School of Bible Studies.
Troy and Andrea’s sponsoring congregation is the Margaret Street church of Christ in Milton, FL.
Brittnea is the daughter of Kevin and Tammie Dye of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. In 1986, when she was two years old, her family moved to Papua New Guinea answering God’s call to do foreign mission work under the oversight of the Maple Hill Church of Christ in Lebanon, Tenn. Her family moved back to the United States in 1991 and settled in Lebanon, Tennessee. Brittnea graduated from Freed-Hardeman University in 2006 with a B.B.A. in Finance. She first served in Asunción, Paraguay from January 2007 until September 2009.
On October 9, 2010, she married Ale Yegros, a Paraguayan member of the church in Asuncion. she has now returned with her husband to continue working with the mission team. In July 2013 she gave birth to a baby boy, Alejandro.

Former Missionaries to Paraguay
Josh and Cara Blackmer met at Freed-Hardeman University and were married in 2002. They have two children, Josiah and Vivian. Josh attended Southwest School of Bible Studies in Austin, Texas, and then earned a Bachelor of Arts in Bible from Freed-Hardeman University in 2004. Josh served as an evangelist with the Palm Beach Lakes church of Christ in West Palm Beach, Florida for five years.
Cara attended Freed-Hardeman University from 1998-2004 receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education and a Master of Arts in School Counseling. While at Freed-Hardeman, both Josh and Cara shared the same desire and realized the importance of missions. They arrived in Paraguay in September 2009 and served for five years, returning to the US in September 2014. The Palm Beach Lakes church of Christ in West Palm Beach, Florida was their sponsoring congregation. Josh is now serving as an evangelist in Family and Youth Ministry at Palm Beach Lakes.
Chris and Vickie Fry
Chris and Vickie met on the campus of Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tenn. Chris holds degrees in Finance, Vocational Ministry, and Masters of Ministry. Vickie has a degree in Human Resource Management. Chris worked for the West Dyersburg church of Christ from 1999-2002 while Vickie worked at Quebecor World as a human resources representative. The Frys arrived in Paraguay in September 2003 as part of the original team that planted the Avenida Sacramento congregation. While in Paraguay they had three children, Emma, Walker, and Olivia. The Fry family returned to the USA in February 2011 and continued working with the West-Dyersburg congregation in Tennessee. Chris is now working with Great Cities Missions.
Enoch, the son of Buddy and Denise Rinks of Savannah, TN, graduated from Freed-Hardeman University in 1999 with degrees in Finance and Vocational Ministry. He served as youth minister at the Pulaski Street church of Christ in Lawrenceburg, TN from 1999 to 2003 and received his Masters of Ministry degree from Freed-Hardeman in 2002. The Pulaski Street church of Christ served as his overseeing congregation. He was married to Laura Cavellini on August 14, 2008. She was born in Italy, but lived in Paraguay for over 15 years. Laura finished law school in 2007. Enoch served in Asunción, Paraguay as part of the original mission team that planted the Avenida Sacramento congregation from September 2003 until March 2010. He is now working with Great Cities Missions.
Ethan is the son of Eddie and Rana Hardin of Savannah, TN. He grew up in the Savannah church of Christ where his father now serves as an elder. He graduated from Freed-Hardeman University in 2001 with B.S. degrees in computer science and Bible missions. Following graduation he worked as a computer programmer with Logical Systems, Inc. in Memphis, TN. Ashley is the daughter of Larry and Carol Oldham. She grew up in the Henderson church of Christ in Henderson, TN. She graduated with a B.B.A. in marketing from Freed-Hardeman in 2001. Ethan and Ashley were married in April of 2002. The Savannah church of Christ in Savannah, TN, was overseeing the Hardins and they returned to the USA in 2008.
Josh and Vanessa Hardin were married in March of 2006.
Vanessa is the daughter of Dean and Barbara Heady of Linden, TN. Growing up, she attended the congregation in Linden, where her dad serves as an elder. Vanessa received her B.S. in Physical Science from Freed Hardeman University in 1996 and her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University in 1997. While at Tennessee Tech, she attended the Collegeside church of Christ where she was very active with the youth and university ministries. She came to Paraguay in 2003 with the orininal team that planted the Avenida Sacramento congregation. The Collegeside church of Christ in Cookeville, TN, was her overseeing congregation during her tenure in Paraguay from 2003-2008.
After their wedding, Josh moved to Paraguay in May 2006 and worked for two years as the media specialist for the mission team. He has also traveled on and led mission trips in the United States, South and Central America, and Europe. Josh is the son of Eddie and Rana Hardin of Savannah, TN. Josh is the author of “The Pride of Peacock” (2003 EPPIE Award Winner for Best Mystery) and “Da Vinci Decoded,” a book defending the truth of Christianity and the Bible. Josh and Vanessa returned to the United States in 2008.
